Eric Steager Joins Band Venture Partners As Managing Partner

Eric Steager is new Managing Partner at Band Venture Partners

Band Venture Partners is delighted to introduce Eric Steager as its new Managing Partner. Eric has a wealth of expertise in corporate venture capital and a passion for sparking innovation and supporting entrepreneurs.

He most recently oversaw Purdue Ventures, the early-stage venture capital arm of Purdue University. He also re-launched and led the corporate venture capital effort of Anthem (dba Elevance), the largest and publicly traded Blue Cross Blue Shield healthcare company as well as co-founded the strategic investing effort at Independence Blue Cross, a Philadelphia-based healthcare company. At both, he focused on strategic investments in the early-state healthcare and technology sectors. Eric's enthusiasm for innovation through external partnerships aligns well with Band’s mission to advance corporate venture capital outcomes and start-up success. In addition to his responsibility for Band’s investment and client practice, Eric will support Founding Partner, Mike Mannix, in growing Band’s services in North America.

As we create value for our corporate and entrepreneur partners, Eric’s addition shows our commitment to collaboration and growth. Together, we will find new opportunities, build meaningful connections and shape the future of corporate innovation through venture capital.

Please help me welcome Eric Steager to the Band family.

Sincerely,

Mike Mannix, CFA, ICD.D

Founding Partner, Band Venture Partners
